Proposal for a fine art museum in a natural landscapes along a famous winding trail. Two main ideas were explored in the design.

One, how to open up a museum, normally a closed unaturally conditioned space for art into a natural part of this environment by opening up the envelope and incorporating transitions between indoor and outdoor, natural lighting and ventilation.

Two, how to create a dialogue between nature's beauty and that created by artists by contrasting through juxtaposition the encompasing frames of the painted realities on canvass and that exhisting outside the museum.
